WWE handed out their 2019 year-end awards on WWE Backstage this week, with six awards in total being awarded.WWE handed out awards for Male Superstar of the Year, Female Superstar of the Year, Men's Tag-Team of the Year, Women's Tag-Team of the Year, Breakthrough Superstars of the Year, and Moment of the Year.In 2018, Braun Strowman won Male Superstar of the Year, while Becky Lynch won Female Superstar of the Year, and The Bar won Best Tag Team.In 2019, unsurprisingly, The Man retained her award and kept her spot at the top of the women's division, winning the Female Superstar of the Year award. The Male Superstar of the Year award was won by Bray Wyatt, while The New Day won the Men's Tag Team of the Year award, and The Kabuki Warriors won the Women's Tag Team of the Year award.

The Street Profits won the Breakthrough Superstars of the Year award, while Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship win at WrestleMania 35 won Moment of the Year.

It's not surprising that Lynch won the Female Superstar of the Year award after the 2019 she's had.

The highlight of her year was when she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35 to win the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship.

The Man has continued her reign at the top of WWE, but she has also gone on to become the face of the entire company.

It's not a shock either that Bray Wyatt won Male Superstar of the Year even though he's only been back in WWE since the start of the summer.

His successful year has been in large part thanks to the gimmick he returned with, The Fiend and the Firefly Fun House, which is popular with fans.

Now with the Universal Championship around his waist, The Fiend looks unstoppable entering the new year.

It will be interesting to see which superstars shine in 2020 and pick up these awards this time next year, as 2020 is expected to be another big year for the WWE.
