The UFC 246 pay-per-view fight card appears to be complete, comprising of five mouthwatering clashes between some of the world’s best fighters.

The much-anticipated event will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on January 18, and is headlined by the return of Conor McGregor, who faces Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in a five-round welterweight bout.

UFC president Dana White has stated that if McGregor wins and current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is victorious in his April match-up against ex-interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, the UFC could book a rematch between Khabib and McGregor for the lightweight title.

Interestingly, Cerrone has not publicly been offered the same courtesy.

The main event of UFC 246 marks the first time McGregor steps into the Octagon since Khabib defeated the Irishman via submission in the fourth round of their October 2018 match-up at UFC 229.

Cerrone enters the bout coming off TKO losses to both Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson.

The card also features a three-round battle between Anthony Pettis and Carlos Diego Ferreira, following the women’s bantamweight rematch between Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington.

Another female match is scheduled featuring Claudia Gadelha and Alexa Grasso at strawweight, and lastly Andre Fili and Sodiq Yusuff clash at featherweight, kicking off the action live on pay-per-view.

Seven bouts are expected on the preliminary cards and have been announced by various media outlets, per fightmag.com.au, with the fight order expected to be finalised in the coming days.
