Mason Greenwood is the real deal. The 18-year-old scored his eighth goal of the season to put Manchester United 2-1 up against Newcastle at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.And what an incredible strike it was, too.Greenwood picked the ball up around 25 yards from goal and then proceeded to unleash a fierce pile-driver with his left foot from just outside the box.The ball cannoned in off the underside of the crossbar and there was nothing Martin Dubravka could do about it.

Watch Greenwood’s goal here…

Outstanding. This lad is a natural goalscorer.

Greenwood has already been compared to former United star Robin van Persie on numerous occasions this season. The similarities are clear for all to see.

United fans believe he’s the second coming of RvP and, well, it’s hard to disagree.

It was a hugely important goal for the Red Devils, too.

Matty Longstaff had put the visitors 1-0 up before Anthony Martial levelled the scores.

Greenwood then put United ahead before Marcus Rashford made it 3-1 to the hosts shortly before half-time.
