Liverpool proved their title credentials once again on Boxing Day.

Jurgen Klopp's side faced off against Leicester City - their closest challengers at the top - in a game many expected to be close.

It was anything but that. Liverpool were absolutely brilliant, winning 4-0 and simply blowing the Foxes away.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was the star of the show, assisting twice - three times if you count his cross that won a penalty - and scoring the final goal.

But it wasn't all about him. Once again, Virgil van Dijk was in fine form. The centre-back has shown over the last two seasons that he can really do it all.

He's almost unbeatable at the back, can pass the ball better than many midfield playmakers and the Dutchman also has a knack for scoring goals.

This Boxing Day win over Leicester was very important for Liverpool and while most of their players were celebrating with the travelling fans, Van Dijk was doing something different.

He strolled over to a member of the King Power Stadium groundstaff and had a conversation, before helping him mow the grass. Yes, really. Check out the brilliant pictures below:

Great stuff. Van Dijk has taken 'covering every blade of grass' to a whole new level.

It's being reported that he was actually moving the groundsman out of the way so Liverpool could continue their celebrations on the pitch - and fans will love that.

The defender got his hands on a lawnmower on Thursday and come May, he seems set to pick up the Premier League title too.

Liverpool are now 13 points clear at the top of the league and after dispatching Leicester with ease, many are tipping them to win it unbeaten.

What an achievement that would be for Van Dijk and his teammates.
