The soon-to-be-built SoFi Stadium

As we're in the final few days before 2020 begins, that means WrestleMania season is well and truly upon us.

That starts with the Royal Rumble of course next month, which will once again be held in a baseball stadium, this time at Houston's Minute Maid Park.

It's where the sign-pointing starts, and all the signs in 2020 are pointing towards Tampa Bay and the Raymond James Stadium, which hosts the next WrestleMania.

Tampa Bay is wrestler country, and many current and former stars are based there, so we could see a more star-studded event than usual.

Around the time WrestleMania weekend comes about, the location for the following years event is usually revealed, and it's a moment that ardent wrestling fans get excited for.

Tampa Bay's Raymond James Stadium will host WrestleMania in 2020

British fans will be hoping and praying for London, but it doesn't look like WWE's showpiece occasion will leave North America anytime soon.

And a very familiar WWE city is apparently making a major play to host Mania in 2021.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, per ewrestlingnews, the city of Los Angeles are pushing really hard to bring WrestleMania back to the Pacific Coast.

LA has hosted the event three times previously - in 1986 and 1991 at the LA Memorial Sports Arena and in 2005 at the Staples Center.

But this time if it was to come back, it would be in the brand-new SoFi Stadium, which is scheduled to open in July 2020.

Projected images of what the SoFi Stadium will look like when finished

It will host American Football for the Rams and the Chargers, and it will be able to seat over 100,000 people - ideal for a WrestleMania.

The same stadium will host the 2022 Super Bowl and it's thought that bringing WrestleMania to the location will be an ideal prep to see how it handles such a crowd.

Months ago, it was reported that LA and Las Vegas were both final candidates for the host city, and we will just have to see what transpires in the next couple of months as to who gets the nod.
