All Elite Wrestling has made a solid start to its existence, and the ante was upped a few months ago when they introduced Dynamite to the world.

Their weekly show was put on head-to-head with WWE's NXT on Wednesday nights, and for the most part they have been winning the viewership war.

But in recent weeks NXT has gained an upper hand, with some wrestling fans saying that AEW is currently lacking something that it had in the opening couple of weeks in October.

Their next pay-per-view - titled Revolution - isn't scheduled until the end of February, so there's still time to build feuds for that and the stakes to be raised.

One thing AEW doesn't have that WWE shows have had for years though is an on-screen authority figure.

They have disappeared on Raw and SmackDown for now, but in the past we've seen the likes of Teddy Long, Eric Bischoff and others work really well in the General Manager role.

The only sign we've seen of AEW having this kind of person was when Jon Moxley entered AEW Owner Tony Khan's dressing room to discuss his upcoming match with Kenny Omega - which Khan audibly refused to sanction.

Since then though, he's not made an on-screen or a voiceover appearance, and it's unclear as to who is actually making the matches behind the scenes.

The incredibly reliable WrestleVotes though have reported that AEW could be eventually appointing an on-screen Commissioner to make the matches.

And they continued to note that it may end up being ECW legend and former WWE commentator Tazz - who is making a special guest appearance at the Dynamite show in Jacksonville next week.

Tazz has just finished up his radio commitments with CBS Sports, and has already made some appearances behind the commentary desk in AEW pre-shows in the past.

It's important to note that WrestleVotes have said this plan may not end up happening, but it's certain to get the fans excited.
