Zlatan Ibrahimovic has officially re-signed for AC Milan. The Swedish striker's deal runs until the end of the season, with an option to extend the contract by one year.Ibrahimovic left Milan seven-and-a-half years ago and will be eager to help guide a club he loves out of the rut they currently find themselves in.The 38-year-old said after the deal was announced: “I’m returning to a club that I respect enormously and to a city that I love."

Ibrahimovic enjoyed some of the best years of his career with AC Milan after his tricky spell at Barcelona.

In his 61 Series A games for the club, the enigmatic Swede notched 42 goals and 17 assists, helping the club win the league title in 2010/11.

Ibrahimovic then moved to Pairs Saint-Germain in the summer of 2012, where he firmly established himself as an ageless great of the game.

The last two years of his glittering career have been spent in the US with LA Galaxy, where he scored 53 goals in just 58 MLS games.

Milan will be desperate for him to bring that kind of prolificness in front of goal to their forward line.

Stefano Pioli's side have managed only 16 goals in their first 17 league games of the season, with left-back Theo Hernandez currently the club's joint top goal scorer with four.

Ibrahimovic has taken on challenges in the past, but firing this Milan side back to their former glory could be a step too far...
