He went, he saw, he conquered - and now he is coming back.

After his American adventure came to an acrimonious end, the second European coming of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is at hand.

Zlatan made light work of the MLS, scoring 53 times in just 58 games while notching up 15 assists.

He was never shy to poke fun at the quality of the league though, and it only seemed a matter of time before he moved on.

Now, the Swedish maestro has rejoined former club AC Milan for the rest of the season, with the Italian giants confirming the move this week.

Ibrahimovic’s previous two-year spell at the club was nothing short of prolific as he scored 56 goals in 85 appearances, helping the Rossoneri to the Serie A title in 2011.

He was simply unplayable at times and Milan, who have been desperately short of goals this season, will be hoping he can pick up where he left off and hit the ground running.

At the ripe old age of 38, Zlatan has shown no signs of slowing down and, if he can replicate his from from his initial spell, then we could be in for quite a time of it.

In fact, a video showing Zlatan’s best bits from that chapter at the commencement of the decade is beginning to do the rounds and it shows just how special the Swede can be.

Sometimes it is actually scary how easy he makes the game look.

GIVEMESPORT’s Paul Conolly says:

There are few people who can smack a ball the way Zlatan can, but his subtleties in and around the box are often overlooked as well.

His little touches to round ’keepers or sneak between defenders are lethal and he can even find ways to fire shots in while facing completely the wrong way.

The simple fact is that, even approaching 40, Zlatan is still one of the most complete strikers on the planet and is going to be incredibly valuable for Milan.

It’s going to be fantastic to have him back in Europe.
