Bray Wyatt has finally found out his opponent for his Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, but some fans were disappointed in the manner of which it happened. It's probably fair to say that SmackDown has underdelivered since its move to FOX in October, with Raw having the more compelling and entertaining storylines overall. And the way in which the number-one contender match was dealt with simply summed things up in the last blue brand show of 2019.The match between King Corbin, The Miz and Daniel Bryan was supposed to kick off SmackDown, but after Corbin was jumped by Roman Reigns, the King refused to compete, making it a one-on-one later in the evening. When Miz and Bryan did line-up an hour into the show, they were confronted by Corbin's sedan holders, and then Corbin himself decided he was ready to be inserted back into the contender's match.

So a THIRD segment for this match was created to end the show, which Corbin looked to be winning with the assistance of Dolph Ziggler, but once again Reigns appeared to eliminate the help and also pretty much take Corbin out of the match.

That made it a one-on-one, and despite taking a Skull Crushing Finale and being locked in the Figure Four Leg Lock, Bryan fought through the pain barrier, and eventually secured a LeBell Lock tight on his nemesis.

The Miz ended up tapping and that meant we officially get Bryan v The Fiend part two, but this time Bryan is reborn with a brand-new look.

There was no real need for it to stretch into three segments though, and one can only assume that they were struggling to fill the show up and this is the first idea they had in mind.

In the last bout between the two, Bryan ran Wyatt close but was ultimately unsuccessful - but he will try again in Houston next month to usurp the unstoppable demon for his precious gold.
