Randy Orton has reportedly picked up an injury at what many would deem the worse time to do so for a WWE superstar.Randy Orton had a match during a WWE live event in Hershey, Pennsylvania last night vs AJ Styles. However, the match only lasted several minutes, according to reports coming out of the arena via Wrestling, due to The Viper picking up an injury.Orton reportedly went down during the match with an injury to his left knee, and WWE's doctors were quickly on the scene to assess the situation. The Viper was unable to finish the match and, moments later, he was helped to the back by officials.

Below you can see a few photos and tweets about Orton's injury from last night's live event.

As we wait for WWE to make an announcement, the growing concern amongst fans will be that this injury is significant enough for Orton for him to miss WrestleMania 36 in April next year.

Fingers crossed that isn't the case, but knee injuries can vary in their recovery times depending on the severity of the injury.

For the past couple of weeks on Monday Night Raw, Orton has had his left knee taped up and has been using it in angles with Styles on the show.

There, therefore, is the possibility that the knee was being sold as part of an angle again last night, although this would have been a strange thing to do so early into a match at a live event.

Given the nature of how things appear to have ended last night for Orton, there's a strong chance this injury is real and that he will be spending some time over the next couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Fingers crossed The Viper is able to return to the ring soon from the knee injury he appears to have, but his participation at the Royal Rumble show next month now looks bleak.

Fans can only hope that if Orton is injured, he is able to recover in time for WrestleMania later on in 2020.
