As we begin the countdown to February 22, 2020, the war of words between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have already started, and unsurprisingly, it’s the Gypsy King that has struck first.
Last week the official announcement came from both camps with regards to the long-awaited rematch, and we now know that the duo will do battle once more at the back end of February in America.
Their first fight was a classic. Fury schooled Wilder for the majority, but was then sent to the canvas on two separate occasions, including a brutal knockdown in the 12th.
Somehow, Fury recovered from said knockdown and saw out the rest of the fight, with the judges scoring the fight as a draw.
Fast forward over a year and here we are. Getting ready for Wilder vs Fury 2, and the trash talk has already began.

- Early odds released for epic Wilder vs Fury 2
Taking to his official Instagram account, Fury posted a video on his story talking about the Bronze Bomber, and it wasn’t long before he was calling him a big ‘p***y’.
Why was he doing that? Well it seems the WBC champion didn’t fancy going to the media duties that were planned for the promotion of the rematch, citing his reason down to the flu.
According to Fury, Wilder’s management team are afraid to put their champ in the same room as the Brit.
The Gypsy King finished off his message by saying: “Deontay, what a little b***h you’ve become. You can’t even come and see me and be face-to-face with me on camera because you’ll be humiliated and took to school. P***Y.”
You can watch the video in full for yourself above.
So, as you can see, despite it being a couple of months away from the rematch, Fury is already getting himself in the mood for fight night.
We all know who will win the war of words from now until February 22, but to predict a winner for the fight itself is borderline impossible.
Time will tell.
