Much has been said over the return of the self-proclaimed notorious Conor McGregor.

After his rise to the absolute pinnacle of fortune and fame, the star became the poster boy for the UFC.

He became the sport’s golden boy and put UFC back on the map after heavyweight boxing looked to overshadow the sport through characters like Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

McGregor’s pre-fight antics were hilarious, his confidence was admirable and his ability, unquestionable.

However, his legacy was tarnished after the controversy that followed his rival match with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The bad blood between the two leaked through the mesh of the Octagon and infested the careers of both fighters, with the Irishman enduring the worst of its effects.

McGregor hasn’t fought since that defeat and has been involved in a plethora of incidents that have tarnished his incredible legacy.

With all this behind him now, it would seem, McGregor is ready to return back to action and do what he does best… fight and entertain.

He is set to face Donald Cerrone in the main event at UFC 246 on January 18.

At the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, McGregor will mark his return and will look to do so in emphatic style.

He has bulked up to the welterweight division to take the fight with Cerrone, who is by no means a nice opponent to ease back into the sport after some time out.

Despite suffering two defeats in his last two, the Cowboy has more professional wins than anyone else in the organisation, highlighting his experience.

All this makes for an exciting clash in the new year that should rock any UFC fan to their very core. If not, then all you have to do is watch this fan-made trailer for the fight.

If this doesn’t get you excited, then nothing will.

The trailer was made by a YouTuber named Youssef Hannoun. He titled the video ‘Legends’ and does a great job of including everything you could wish to see in a trailer.

A minute-and-a-half long, the trailer encapsulates everything that makes the fight such an interesting contest: the history between the two fighters, their recent setbacks and ultimately, it packages it altogether with some slick editing and music to get you gassed.
