There was a bit of needle on stage at the start of Gerwyn Price's game against Peter Wright on Monday evening.Price, who is good friends with Wright, said on Sunday that he would beat him 6-0 in their PDC World Championship semi-final."I'm happy to win that game [against Glen Durrant] 5-1 and I think Peter will be more worried about me than I will be about him," he said, per the PDC website."I'm really confident about the semi-final - he'll be lucky to win a set!"But things didn't go to plan for the Welshman to start the match.

He was below-par in the opening set, which Wright won 3-2.

The Scotsman decided he would remind Price of his comments after winning the set.

He tapped Price on the shoulder and smirked, something that didn't go down well.

Wright then turned back and laughed at his opponent as he walked off stage.

That riled up Price. So how did he react?

Well, after he clinched the second set, he decided he would get his revenge.

The Iceman is known for his passionate reactions to winning legs and he made sure to direct his celebrations right in front of Wright's face.

Wow. That does seem a bit over the top. Fair play to Wright for not reacting.

He was asking for it after his reaction to winning the first set, though...

It was Wright who got the last laugh as he defeated his opponent 6-3.

There was no handshake from Price, though, who was clearly still upset about the incidents at the start of the match.

Wright revealed after the game that Price's actions annoyed him and only spurred him on.

"I like Gezzy but I don’t appreciate what he’s done. He wanted me to concentrate? I concentrated. There you go. You lost," he said.

"It spurred me on because it wound me up. If you wind me up on the dart board I’ll get you back."

Wright will now play Michael van Gerwen in the World Championship final on New Year’s Day.
