Kevin De Bruyne is already one of the greatest playmakers to have stepped foot in the Premier League. The Manchester City man just oozes class in virtually every game, delivering pinpoint assists for his teammates with such regularity that it's becoming frightening. So far in 2019/20, the Belgian wizard has provided 12 assists in just 19 league games, as well as scoring seven goals.De Bruyne is well on course to finally beat Thierry Henry's record of 20 assists in a single season, which the Frenchman recorded in 2002/03.However, many won't know that De Bruyne actually matched and surpassed that single season tally from the Frenchman with Wolfsburg back in 2014/15, when the club finished second behind Bayern Munich.

He achieved those remarkable numbers in just 34 games and his creative masterpiece remains a Bundesliga record to this day.

Below, you can watch all 21 of De Bruyne's assists from that campaign and revel in a genius going about their work.

DE BRUYNE'S 21 ASSISTS

How on earth does he do it? Even during Lionel Messi's record breaking seasons in 2011/12 and 2012/13, he only managed 16 and 12 assists respectively.

The most the Argentine - who has recorded the most league assists this decade - has ever notched in one season is 18 in 2014/15.

Coincidentally, Cesc Fabregas conjured the same number for Chelsea during the same season, the closest a Premier League player has come to matching Henry's record.

When it comes to De Bruyne's tally in 2014/15, it seems remarkable that those on Gillette Soccer Saturday contested his price tag when he moved to City.

The subject of the Belgian's £55m fee came up, with Liverpool legend Phil Thompson infamously saying: "The world's gone mad."

Sorry Phil, that only thing that was mad was that De Bruyne didn't cost double what City paid for him!
