The wedding on Monday Night Raw between Lana and Bobby Lashley was never expected to run smoothly, but WWE caught everyone off-guard with the surprise reveal.

Unsurprisingly Rusev made an appearance, jumping out of a giant wedding cake to attack Lashley, but no-one expected Liv Morgan to show up.

The former Riott Squad member has been teasing 'destroying herself' in vignettes in recent weeks, and she appeared on the stage after a number of interruptions during the wedding, and she was in tears.

She revealed that she was in love with someone in the ring, and it just so happened that the person was not Lashley - but Lana.

That's right, WWE look like they are going with a surprise lesbian storyline in 2020, which wasn't well-received by everyone, but it will no doubt have its fans.

However most of the criticism has come because there is an openly-lesbian performer on the main roster, and it was reported earlier in the year that she had pitched for a similar angle.

Sonya Deville has been teaming with Mandy Rose since coming up to the main roster in 2017, and in 2019 it was teased that they may be starting a romance storyline.

Deville revealed on Total Divas that she had pitched the idea to WWE creative, but nothing ever came of it, but the team known as Fire & Desire have seemingly shared their frustrations over what appears to be Liv and Lana being given the roles instead.

Sonya offered the response of "Welp... my mind is blown" to the ending of Lana and Lashley's wedding, which led to this brief exchange between Rose and Deville.

The fact that WWE seemingly rejected the story for the pair but gave it to two other women has blown peoples minds, and the interactions that Deville is receiving show that fans believe she's been robbed of a chance to showcase her talents.

Let's hope Liv and Lana can do the potential story justice, or else there may be a lot more angry people waiting to stick the pitchforks in...
