Mikel Arteta got the better of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on New Years’ Day as Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0.It’s an Arsenal side starting a new era under Arteta and they looked a completely different side to what we’ve witnessed previously under Unai Emery. But the less said about United, the better.Solskjaer’s side were nothing short of woeful and deserved nothing from their visit to the Emirates. It left many supporters asking whether Solskjaer really is the right man for the club. The Red Devils are now five points behind Chelsea, who occupy fourth spot, as their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League took a huge blow.

One criticism of the Norwegian is that he’s not experienced enough to manage a massive club like United. After all, he’s only been in charge of Molde and Cardiff - getting relegated with the Welsh club.

And although he was coming up against Arteta on Wednesday - who was only taking charge of his third professional match as a manager - Solskjaer was outclassed.

In fact, there’s a video going viral that suggests Solskjaer may have actually tried copying Arteta's tactics during the match.

The hilarious video shows the Arsenal boss giving instructions to his players with hand signals. The clip then shows Solskjaer, who glances across to Arteta and gives his own players very similar instructions.

Take a look:

Hilarious.

Ok, we know that Solskjaer probably wasn’t just copying Arteta but it certainly looks like it.

In truth, he had probably seen what Arteta was telling his players and was trying to counteract it with instructions of his own.

Either way, it didn’t work as United barely troubled Bernd Leno during their disappointing defeat.

Many more performances like that and Solskjaer won’t be on the touchline to give instructions too much longer.
