Sheffield United could end the first round of 2020 fixtures in a Europa League spot with a win tonight.Who’d have thought that would be said at the start of the season? The only problem is, they’ll have to claim the scalp of unbeaten Liverpool in their own back yard in order to do so.Nevertheless, the Blades have enjoyed a phenomenal season back in the top flight after winning the Championship last campaign.Chris Wilder’s side have only fallen to defeat five times in the league this season and find themselves eighth, claiming points against Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United along the way.

However, it was the Reds who came out on top in their last meeting as Jurgen Klopp’s men won 1-0 at Bramall Lane thanks to a 70th minute Georginio Wijnaldum winner.

And preparations are already underway as United look to seek revenge with the Yorkshire side undergoing a training session at Stanley Park just hours before kick-off.

However, things didn’t quite go to plan.

That’s because proceedings had to be halted whilst a dog invaded the session before urinating on one of their cones.

Yes, you read that right.

Sheffield United’s official Twitter account then posted the footage of the hilarious incident on social media with the caption: “Just trying to do an activation session in peace.”

Take a look for yourself below:

That’s what you get for training at a public park!

Anyway, the Blades stayed in Merseyside overnight and went through their final set of drills at the park that separates Anfield from Goodison Park earlier today.

It will undoubtedly prove to be their biggest test of the season tonight as they aim to stop the Reds from extending their unbeaten run.

However, in football, anything can happen.
