Paul Pogba's time as a Manchester United player appears to be coming to its conclusion.

The Frenchman's 2019/20 season has been heavily disrupted by injury, with Pogba making just two substitute appearances since late September.

His last start came in the 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal back in late September, a game where he was rushed back into action by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pogba is now expected to be out for a further six weeks with another ankle injury, with Solskjaer rather coy when speaking to the media about the issue.

The Frenchman is expected to undergo an operation to remedy the issue, but all is not well in the camp.

According to The Sun, the relationship between player and club has now soured to the point where both are desperate to part ways as soon as possible.

So much so that United have reduced their asking price for the 26-year-old from £180m to £100m

Real Madrid remain Pogba's most likely destination, but any potential move relies heavily on Toni Kroos' future at Los Blancos.

Pogba himself believes United are currently two to three years behind their biggest rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.

He believes he cannot hang around at Old Trafford as the club cannot match his ambitions to win big trophies in the next few years.

In truth, he's probably right and despite his regular off-field issues since his return to United, he's still one of the world's elite midfielders.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus - three clubs linked with Pogba - would all be vastly improved by his arrival and United will probably not be short of suitors this month.

The only issue will be whether they will stump up the £100m to sign him this month, rather than wait until the summer - where his valuation by United may plummet again.
