It's been over 900 days since Liverpool last lost a Premier League home game.

Crystal Palace's unexpected 2-1 triumph back on April 23, 2017 is the last time Jurgen Klopp's side surrendered three points at their fortress, with Christian Benteke scoring twice against his old club.

In the years that have followed since that game, the world of sport has changed drastically.

There's been chopping and changing in the Premier League, while a number of high profile stars from various sports have made glorious comebacks.

Below, we've cherry picked 12 pretty mental things that have happened in sport since Liverpool's loss to Palace.

Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal have all had three different managers

While Klopp has been building his empire on Merseyside, other members of the top six have embarked on managerial chaos.

United have gone from Louis van Gaal to Jose Mourinho, finally ending up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Chelsea ridded themselves of Italian duo Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri before settling with Frank Lampard in the summer.

As for Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery and Mikel Arteta have all taken the reins on a permanent basis since April 2017.

Tyson Fury lost nearly 10 stone, came back and fought Deontay Wilder

When Liverpool last lost a game at Anfield, Fury's boxing career appeared to be over.

He was overweight and battling with mental demons, but in the years that have followed he has made the comeback of all comebacks.

Fury famously fought Deontay Wilder in December 2018 and he will take on the Bronze Bomber in a rematch this February.

What a story!

Spurs played 18 months at Wembley before moving into a new stadium

Spurs actually managed to destroy Liverpool at Wembley back in October 2017, winning 4-1.

But Liverpool got their revenge last season with a 2-1 victory in the national stadium.

Their next Premier League fixture pits them against Spurs in their sparkling new ground for the first time.

Sunderland have been relegated twice

The Black Cats' Premier League adventure ended shortly after Liverpool's loss to Palace.

Things then got a lot worse 12 months after, as their miserable first season back in the Championship ended in relegation to League One.

They're showing no signs of making their way back to the top either...

Ben Stokes went from public enemy number one to national hero

Stokes infamously got caught up in a brawl in Bristol in the latter months of 2017, which saw him miss the 2017/18 Ashes series against Australia.

Since then, the New Zealand-born all-rounder has rebuilt his career and became English sport's biggest hero last summer.

Match-winning performances in the World Cup final and at Headingley in the Ashes were topped off by winning the 2019 Sports Personality of the Year.

Well played, Ben!

Lionel Messi scored 130 goals for club and country

That's right, 130 goals!

Two of those came against the Reds in last year's Champions League semi-final, but we all know how that tie ended.

No player has managed more goals than Messi in that time and it begs the question; how many will he have scored by the time Liverpool finally lose at Anfield in the Premier League again?!

Anthony Joshua beat Wladimir Klitschko, lost to Andy Ruiz and then beat him in a rematch

It's been a whirlwind time in the career of Joshua since Liverpool's defeat to Palace.

He famously dethroned Klitschko at Wembley in 2017 and then surrendered all his world titles against Ruiz in Madison Square Garden last summer.

But the Watford-born fighter got his revenge back in December, scoring a punch-perfect victory over the Mexican in Saudi Arabia.

Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather, retired and then came back and fought Khabib

Just like Joshua, it's been a mental few years in the world of McGregor.

Issues outside of sport have been rife and in-between those, he's fought both Mayweather and Khabib, retired countless times and earned a ridiculous amount of money.

It's highly likely his comeback to UFC against Donald Cerrone will be fulfilled before Liverpool surrender their Anfield invincibility.

Real Madrid won two Champions Leagues

While most top clubs barely have two Champions League trophies to their name, Los Blancos have added two to their collection since Liverpool's last league loss at home.

It was the final two of their memorable hat-trick of European crowns in just three years, with Liverpool going on to win the trophy in 2019.

Tiger Woods made his comeback and won the 2019 Masters

Woods' golfing career appeared to be over back in April 2017, but he managed to complete one of sport's greatest comebacks in 2019.

Against all the odds, the American won his fifth Masters title and his first major since 2008.

An unbelievable story!

Lewis Hamilton won three F1 World Championships

The Englishman's dominance of the sport has been total in the last 900 days or so.

Three World Championship titles have taken his overall tally to six, just one behind Michael Schumacher's record.

Jesse Lingard went a whole year without scoring or assisting in the Premier League

Sorry Jesse, but we just hand to end things on a funny note.

While Liverpool and their forwards have been dominating football, Lingard endured one of the worst 12 months imaginable in 2019, failing to score or assist in 29 Premier League games.

Some unbelievable sporting stories, with the careers of Fury, Stokes and Woods changing dramatically.

As have the careers of most of the Liverpool players, as they now embark on their quest to secure their first ever Premier League title.
