Chelsea is back in WSL (Women's Super League) action today as they host Reading at Kingsmeadow, hoping to put pressure on the top of the table: Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Blue's remain unbeaten in seven Women's Super League games - the only other team to remain unbeaten by Reading to this extent is Doncaster.

Reading has lost just one of their last four Barclay's FA Women's Super League away games this season, and if they manage to avoid defeat, then it would be their longest unbeaten run on the road since September 2018.

This WSL clash could bring the debut of the Australian star Sam Kerr, being the most expensive female player to be signed by a British club, it is easy to say that her arrival has been heavily anticipated in the WSL since the announcement back in December.

Sam Kerr finished her last three campaigns with NWSL team Sky Blue FC, as top goalscorer (2017, 2018, and 2019). Her attacking dominance and creativity will undoubtfully be in full presence.

However, it should be highlighted that Reading has scored more headers (4), corners (8), and set-pieces (11) than any other team in the WSL.

You can watch these international stars at Kingsmeadow today - Sunday the 5th of January at 12:30 pm for just £9 an adult or £1 for a junior. If you cannot make the game, it is broadcasted on the FA player app or the BBC iPlayer to stream for free.

For a game that practically promises to include a huge amount of class, energy, and perseverance it will be an unmissable start to January for football fans!
