But Leeds still represented themselves well and they earned a lot of supporters.

And many football fans are now desperate to see them in the Premier League next season, with many believing they could well finish in the top half.

To record 63% possession in the first half at Arsenal is very impressive, and a sign that Leeds would be able to compete in the top flight.

They’re currently top of the Championship table on goal difference, so there’s every chance we will see the Whites back in the Premier League for the first time since the 2003/04 campaign.

Despite their first-half dominance, Leeds failed to score and were punished when Nelson put Arsenal ahead in the 55th minute.

The 20-year-old turned home from close range and Arsenal held on to secure a meeting against Bournemouth in the fourth round.

Bielsa won't be too disappointed by Leeds' exit, though.

The club's number one aim this season is to secure promotion to the Premier League and any additional games to their schedule only complicate that.

Now, they can focus all of their efforts into getting back among the big boys.
