The Rangers have announced the signing of the up and coming midfielder Megan Bell.

The 18-year-old from Northern Ireland has signed her first professional footballing contract with the club. Bell has joined the Rangers from the FA Women's Championship side Durham Women, on a two-year deal.

Being the latest winter signing by the side, manager Amy McDonald also signed goalkeepers Jenna Fife and Megan Cunningham, last month as well as two other midfielders Demi Vance and Kirsten Reilly.

Having made six senior appearances for her country so far, including an intense 0-0 draw with Wales, the young prodigy is only just started to prove her impressive capability.

Bell commented on the occasion as being the "best Christmas present", with elation she also added that she "can't wait to get started".

Amy McDonald stated that "despite her young age, Megan has had plenty of invaluable experiences in football".

"She has an eye for goal, which is a great thing for a midfielder to have, we are happy that she has chosen the Rangers as the best place for her to continue her development" McDonald added.

The young player could be making her debut for the Scottish giant's next month as they kick-start their SWPL season against Hearts.
