There isn't a bigger beast in the Premier League right now than Adama Traore.

When he arrived at Wolves in an £18 million deal, fans wanted to know if they were getting the Traore who had been relegated with Aston Villa or the Barcelona academy graduate who had been compared to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo [admittedly by Tim Sherwood].

The winger has answered that question this season as he's been in sensational form - but what's really got fans talking is his physique.

The 23-year-old is now absolutely shredded, bulking up thanks to his intense gym workouts despite insisting he doesn't actually do weights.

It's easy to imagine Traore being absolutely huge, when in fact he's under 6ft and weighs just over 11 stone.

Maybe that's why his enormous muscles look all the more remarkable and they've impressed and baffled in equal measure during his ascension into a cult hero.

However, Traore's body transformation shouldn't come as all that much of a surprise as he was allegedly showing signs of his potential in that area even back at Barcelona.

According to Wolves teammate Romain Saiss, Traore claims that during his Camp Nou days, he was approached by teams from the NFL who wanted to persuade him to switch to American football.

Saiss also confirmed that Traore doesn't do weights, at least not when they train together.

"I see him every day, because we are in the gym together, before or after training," Saiss told RMC Sport, per Goal.

"Maybe he has a hidden gym room in his house, but at training, in any case, he never pumps iron, whether it is bench-press or otherwise. He is huge and very quick.

"I remember saying to him: 'You run like an American footballer'. He responded to me that at the time that he played in Barcelona, NFL teams tried to get him to playing American football instead, that's how explosive he was.

"There are people who say that it is not possible, that he cannot be playing football."

Will we ever see 'dual-code' footballers who can also play NFL professionally? If it happens, Traore is going to be a wanted man in that draft.

Harry Kane, who is a massive New England Patriots fan (commiserations, Harry), has also suggested he would like to try his hand at NFL.

Perhaps he can follow in the footsteps of former Spurs striker Clive Allen, who briefly played during the 'NFL Europe' experiment in the 1980s.

The biggest takeaway from all this is that Traore has always had the underlying talent and even when Barcelona couldn't get the best out of him, there were analysts out there - albeit from other sports - who realised just how explosive he could be.
