November 28, 2015.

It was a night to remember for Tyson Fury as the bout with Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf saw the Gypsy King establish himself as world heavyweight champion.

However, the greatly-anticipated rematch between the pair never took place - but what would have happened if it did?

Fury continuously postponed the rematch against his Ukrainian nemesis as he was declared 'medically unfit' to fight.

This fight turned out to be their one and only bout as Klitschko opted to retire following his defeat to Anthony Joshua in 2017.

Nonetheless, there are some boxing fanatics who strongly believe that if the rematch took place, then the Ukrainian would have left the ring victorious and with the championship wrapped firmly around his waist.

Within a Reddit forum, one user by the name of JosephOfEgypt13 claimed: "I think Klitschko could have possibly beaten Fury if the rematch went through but not because I think Fury’s win was a fluke.

"It’s just that Klitschko was obsessed with reclaiming his belts and Tyson was having the worst mental breakdown of his life. Tyson would have crumbled on fight night, in my opinion, due to his deteriorating mental state."

Within interviews in recent years, Fury has spoken openly about his struggles since the night in Dusseldorf. The Gyspy King reached the absolute pinnacle of the sport, but eventually found his world come crashing down following ongoing struggles with his mental health.

However, despite his difficulties, Fury has managed to return from the lowest point in his career, both personally and professionally, to now be challenging some of the fiercest fighters that the world has to offer.

Nevertheless, albeit Fury's struggle, some supporters believe the Gyspy King could still have overturned the Ukrainian in the rematch.

"Fury's style is just all wrong for Klitschko. Klit would have to entirely change the way he fights to win and take more chances as well, something he was terrified of doing in the first match-up.

"Klitschko is a very smart guy and has proven in his career he can change the way he fights but I think it would be a case of you can't teach an old dog new tricks," RookieNumbers1 stated on Reddit.

With the past now a distant memory for Fury, the now 31-year-old is undoubtedly looking ahead to his February rematch with Deontay Wilder.

Considering the outcome from the previous bout, it's a fair assumption to make that Fury will be entering the ring with the intention of setting the record straight.
