Remember CM Punk's epic 'contract negotiations' on Monday Night Raw in 2011 with Vince McMahon?

The Straight Edge Superstar asked for a number of things, including his own collector cup, a private jet and even a WWE ice cream bar with his likeness on it.

In-fact, Punk wanted the latter so much that he mentioned them multiple times during the 'Summer of Punk', but it never came to fruition, much to the fans' disappointment.

They had been discontinued a couple of years prior, but they were absolutely huge in the 1980s and 1990s, with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and all the big WWF stars having their faces emblazoned onto a piece of wafer.

Officially called 'WWF Superstars Of Wrestling Ice Cream Bars', they were first released in 1987, but were discontinued in 2008.

However ice cream company Good Humor has finally revealed some ground-breaking news - the WWE Ice Cream Bars are returning!

They won't be like the original ones on a stick - they will just be ice cream cookie sandwiches - but the likes of Becky Lynch and John Cena are being advertised on the packaging for the re-released products, meaning they will get their faces on the new treats.

It doesn't look like they will be available across the world, as it seems as though it will only be sold in supermarkets across the United States, so fans in the United Kingdom and beyond may end up being disappointed.

WWE fans though are already excited at this news, and whilst they may not be exactly the same as the original concept, what isn't to like about wrestler's faces on an ice cream?

This could be an epic business move from Vince McMahon, but the question is - why has it taken so long for them to come back into circulation?

Maybe that doesn't need answering now, and we could see a whole lot of WWE ice creams circulating at WrestleMania in a couple of months - we've always wanted to eat one with Erick Rowan's face on it...
