Conor McGregor has recently posted a picture of himself looking ripped in the lead up to his return to the Octagon against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 next weekend.

The Notorious has not fought since UFC 229 back in October 2018, when he was forced into submission by the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor, in the aftermath of that fight, announced his 'retirement', but that only lasted for a few weeks, and he’s now looking in cracking shape ahead of his return fight.

The post consists of three pictures of the Dublin-born fighter and has his weight loss company tagged alongside the caption “11 days”, in reference to the days remaining to his fight.

His much anticipated return to the cage sees him take on the American fighter Donald Cerrone, who is coming into the bout off the back of back-to-back losses.

The reigning BMF champion Jorge Masvidal has predicted that McGregor could win the fight if Cerrone doesn’t play a tactical game and goes out to fight straight from the off.

“It can go many ways, If Cerrone just comes out to fight it out, I see Conor winning within the first two rounds.

“If Cowboy comes out to grapple like he has in the past with decent strikers and even good grapplers like Rick Story, who he was able to take down and create a lot of offence like that… if that Cowboy comes out, he can mix things up real nice,” Masvidal told ESPN.

Masvidal has knocked Cerrone out in a fight in 2017 and has also been trading Twitter exchanges with McGregor and has offered to fight him should the Irishman get the job done next weekend.

McGregor takes on Cerrone in Las Vegas on January 18.
