Watch Kroos’s goal here…
Now, how’s that for quick thinking... Trent Alexander-Arnold, eat your heart out!
Many football fans watching the game were quick to make the comparison with Alexander-Arnold’s famous corner taken against Barcelona for Liverpool in the Champions League last season.
‘Corner taken quickly… Origi!’ are four words that will never be forgotten for Liverpool fans after Alexander-Arnold’s quick-thinking from a corner led to Divock Origi scoring the Reds’ winner.
Perhaps Kroos took some inspiration from Alexander-Arnold - who knows?
Regardless, full marks to the 30-year-old for having the quality to score from that position.
Class!
