Mat Mitchel-King could return from injury to give Crewe boss Dario Gradi a full-strength squad for the visit of Burton.

The centre-half has been sidelined by a back problem recently but has a chance of being fit ahead of Saturday.

Fellow defender Adam Dugdale, midfielders Joel Grant and Danny Shelley as well as forward Antoni Sarcevic kept up their fitness with run-outs against Stockport in the Cheshire Cup this week.

The quartet, along with midfielder Luke Murphy and forward Nick Powell, all come into contention for recalls.

Meanwhile, Alex striker Calvin Zola, who is on loan at Burton, is expected to miss out against his parent club after missing Albion`s last two matches with a hamstring injury.

Burton are waiting to see if Tony James and Aaron Webster will be fit.

Both players missed the midweek victory at Northampton - defender James through illness and the versatile Webster due to a calf strain sustained during the home defeat to Rotherham last weekend.

James is the more likely to return to the squad. Should he be fit, boss Paul Peschisolido must decide whether to recall the centre-half or stick with club captain Darren Moore, who replaced James at Sixfields.

Midfielder Jimmy Phillips and on-loan striker Sam Winnall will be pushing for recalls.

However, Calvin Zola is likely to remain sidelined with a hamstring injury and miss out against his parent club.
