Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has signed a new four-year contract at the club, keeping him at the club until 2015.
Just one day after Michael Carrick penned a new deal at Old Trafford, the Scottish international captain has committed his long-term future to the club and clearly remains an integral part of Sir Alex Ferguson's plans.
"I take great pride in playing for Manchester United, I have won many trophies in my years playing here and I am looking forward to winning many more in the seasons to come," Fletcher told the official Manchester United website.
"I would like to thank everyone at the club."
Ferguson led the tributes to the player, who took time to win over the Red Devils faithful before becoming a regular at the heart of the side.
"I am extremely proud that he came through the ranks of our youth academy. I am delighted Darren has signed a new contract, he has developed into a top-class midfielder."
Fletcher is expected to feature in the crunch clash against Liverpool at the weekend, and will hope to add to his trophy haul of three Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups and the UEFA Champions League come the end of the season.
