United set to sign Anderlecht teenager

Manchester United have beaten Chelsea and Manchester City in the race to sign Anderlecht teenager Adnan Januzaj.

The much-coveted 16-year-old has reportedly turned down the chance to stay with the Swiss outfit and instead accept an offer from Old Trafford.

The two clubs are now in talks to finalise a deal worth around £500,000.

"We are in negotiations," Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck confirmed to HNB.


"It is going in the right direction, there is no agreement yet, but I think the player will be going to Manchester.

"He does have potential and he had the profile to become a good player at Anderlecht.”

As well as being linked with the Premiership duo, Aston Villa and Italian giants Inter Milan are also interested in the youngster.
