Diamond Dallas Page will be returning to a wrestling ring for a match for the first time in years when AEW Dynamite: Bash at the Beach takes place next week.

DDP appeared on this week’s AEW Dynamite during a segment with MJF and Wardlow, where he address the incident from several weeks ago when Wardlow got in his face.

The former WCW star said he’s heard the fans ask if he has one more match left in him, to which MJF said he didn’t want to fight him, but The Butcher and The Blade were willing to.

The Master of the Diamond Cutter was then attacked but was able to fight back until a low blow from MJF. QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes then rushed out to the ring to help DDP.

Later on Dynamite, AEW announced that DDP would be returning to the ring and wrestling on next week’s Bash at the Beach show in Miami.

DDP would be teaming up with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall against MJF, The Butcher, and The Blade.

This will be the WCW icon's first wrestling match since he took part in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.

Next week's Bash of the Beach will be DDP's first non-Battle Royal/Royal Rumble match since he teamed up with Kevin Nash vs The Rock 'n' Roll Express at AWE's Night Of The Legends show in 2011.

It will be interesting to see how this storyline develops for The Master of the Diamond Cutter and if it leads to him eventually having a singles match for AEW, which would be his first singles match since 2006.

When DDP made his first AEW appearance back in October, he said he wouldn't be having another wrestling match as his body feels too good and he doesn't want to mess that up.

However, it now looks like AEW has convinced him to step in the ring at least one more time next week, so perhaps he'll get the urge to have more matches for the company in the near future as well.
