Becky Lynch's 2019 was incredible with so many highs, but the year didn't pass without critics taking some jabs at her for her work in the WWE ring.
Becky Lynch's work for WWE over the past year and a half has seen women receive more main events on Raw, SmackDown, NXT and pay-per-view events.
WWE women have deservedly been given more opportunities in the main event, most notably at WrestleMania 35 last year when Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair became the first women to main event a WrestleMania show.
However, women still face heavy criticism when things go wrong in these main event spots, and The Man spoke about that during CES 2020.
According to Fightful, Lynch said men face less criticism if they have a bad main event match than the women, adding if women don't perform well in the main event, there will be doubts raised by critics over if they should be in the spot at all.

The Raw Women's Champion said: "If there's a guy and he made an error, it's kind of passed over. Often times, I feel like I have the weight of a gender on my shoulders.
"A million guys have had terrible main event matches, but if I have a subpar main event match, the question comes up, 'Should women be main eventing?' And that's a load of crap.
"We all have off days, but we're all trying to be the absolute best. Unfortunately, we always have to be on our game until that's not a question anymore.
"So we are in a position where we have to be extra so that the future generations don't have to deal with that anymore. It's a little bit unfortunate but it's a little bit of the way it is.
"It's not good, it's not right, but it's what we have to do. I don't want this to be a question of the future... Those barriers should be gone by now."
Women have done an amazing job in WWE over the past couple of years, producing some of the best matches in the entire company, so they deserve more main event spots.
Unfortunately, the criticism towards them and the questions over if they should even be in the main event spot will likely continue as well.News Now - Sport News
