Over the past couple of months, Tyson Fury has been heavily linked with working with WWE again very soon, but it all could depending on how well he does the next time he steps in the ring.

Fury hasn't been seen in WWE since he made amends with Braun Strowman on an episode of SmackDown in the UK following their clash at Crown Jewel in October 2019.

The Gypsy King is widely expected to return to WWE again either in the build-up to or at WrestleMania 36 in April later this year.

However, what could stop Fury from appearing for WWE later this year, according to reports, is how well he performs against Deontay Wilder in his next fight.

Fury is expected to clash against Wilder on February 22 in Las Vegas for the WBC and vacant The Ring, and lineal heavyweight titles.

According to WrestleVotes, Fury will likely only be offered a deal to work at WrestleMania 36 if he is able to defeat Wilder in their boxing match.

WrestleVotes noted that if Wilder wins, Vince McMahon won't be throwing any money at Fury following his loss. Fury's WWE future is under his control.

The first fight between Fury and Wilder ended in a controversial split draw, but it looks like WWE only wants a clear and define victory for The Gypsy King if they are going to bring him back to the squared circle in time for WrestleMania.

Fury has been successful in his WWE career so far, as he was able to defeat Strowman via countout in their match at Crown Jewel last year.

There had been rumours that Fury was scheduled to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania as a result of his status and the strong start to his WWE career, but this is just pure speculation.

Now his immediate WWE future looks to be hanging in the balance depending on how well he performs in his fight vs Wilder and the outcome of that boxing match.

If The Gypsy King beats Wilder, we could see him back in WWE in time for WrestleMania. If he doesn't, it might still be a few months before we see him in a WWE ring again.
