Conor McGregor's UFC return is now just over a week away. After more than a year away from the sport following his controversial loss to Khabib Nurmagomdeov in Las Vegas, the Notorious is back and raring to go.The Irishman will take on Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone at the T-Mobile Arena on January 18 and he's got his worldwide fanbase even more excited for the bout by posting the first footage from his training camp.McGregor uploaded a three minute clip to his personal Instagram doing some pad work and the 31-year-old looks in incredible physical condition. That power and speed looks back!

MCGREGOR'S PAD WORK

The Irishman posted the caption: "Pad work at the UFC P.I Clean work at the gym with my team while DJ Bissett blasts the tunes!"

Looking good Conor, looking good.

No wonder his trainer John Kavanagh commented that this training camp has been the best of McGregor's illustrious MMA career.

McGregor's trainer tweeted at the start of the year: “Jan 1st, last heavy spar today before going to Vegas. Can honestly say this is the best I’ve seen him and I wasn’t sure that was possible to do six months ago.

“You guys are in for a real treat, I’m just glad to have a good seat!”

There were previously concerns about McGregor's physique ahead of his return at UFC 246 - which we reported on HERE - with fans believing the Irishman was looking 'too bulky'.

The Notorious has been guilty of 'gassing out' at times in his career, leading to fears that Cerrone could take advantage in Las Vegas.

But after seeing that footage of McGregor on the pads, you fear for his opponent come January 18.

Should the Notorious seal a comeback victory, there will surely be talks to plan the much-anticipated world title rematch with Khabib.
