UEFA #WePlayStrong x Rachel Corsie and Liv Cooke interview - Rachel Corsie, Captain of Scotland Women’s National Football Team, and UK football freestyle world champion Liv Cooke discuss what women’s football is like in Scotland today, take on world record-breaking challenges and meet a freestyling dog on the Royal Mile. Rachel talks openly about how she never has seen football as a viable career when she was growing up. She always wanted to be an accountant and it was when she became qualified at 23 that her partner at Ernest & Young encouraged her to really think to pursue a career in football before it was too late. Four weeks later she handed her notice in. It wasn’t until she signed her first contract with Notts County FC at the age of 24 that she realised she could become a professional footballer full-time. Rachel also reveals that it’s only now that she looks back at her FIFA Women’s World Cup experience.
