Cristiano Ronaldo has been announced as the 12th man in FIFA 20's Team of the Year.

After initially releasing 11 players, EA Sports let fans and gamers pick their final card - and the vote certainly hasn't disappointed.

The Juventus superstar has been given a 99 overall - making him the joint-highest rated in the game - level with Lionel Messi.

But his stats may make his card even more desirable than Messi's.

Ronaldo has 97 pace, 99 shooting, 92 passing, 98 dribbling and 95 physical, making him almost unstoppable in FIFA 20.

In terms of pace, shooting and physical, the Portuguese forward has higher stats than his eternal rival, who does shade the passing and dribbling categories.

Just imagine being one of the lucky people to pack Ronaldo, though!

In fact, just acquiring any one of the 12 Team of the Year players would be incredible. Check out the complete XI below:

GK: Alisson | Liverpool - 97 overall
RB: Andy Robertson | Liverpool - 94 overall
CB: Virgil van Dijk | Liverpool - 99 overall
CB: Matthijs de Ligt | Juventus - 96 overall
LB: Trent Alexander-Arnold | Liverpool - 95 overall
CDM: N'Golo Kante | Chelsea - 97 overall
CM: Frenkie De Jong | Barcelona - 94 overall
CAM: Kevin De Bruyne | Manchester City - 98 overall
RW: Lionel Messi | Barcelona - 99 overall
ST: Kylian Mbappe | PSG - 98 overall
LW: Sadio Mane | Liverpool - 97 overall

That is one ridiculous team and adding Ronaldo to the mix will no doubt encourage FIFA 20 players to spend all their coins opening packs.

Interestingly, many gamers thought it would be Neymar added as the 12th man. Some even went as far as creating concept cards for the Brazilian.

Instead though, it's Ronaldo who joins the Team of the Year and after his successful first season at Juventus, it's quite hard to argue against him going in.

Does he deserve a 99-rated card though? Well, that will be debated by FIFA 20 fans for quite some time.
