Manchester United are in the middle of an injury crisis at the moment.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already without influential midfielders Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay. And United also have big problems in the middle of defence.Harry Maguire picked up an injury against Wolves in the FA Cup last weekend.Marcos Rojo, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly have also been out, leaving Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones as United's only fit centre-backs.

But United are set to welcome back Bailly from injury.

The Ivorian suffered a knee injury in July during their International Champions Cup victory over Tottenham.

It was serious enough that he required surgery, which was expected to keep him out for the whole of 2019.

And he finally made his return from that serious injury as he started for Man United U23s against Newcastle.

Solskjaer and United's coaching staff would have just been hoping that Bailly took it easy and emerge from the game unscathed.

But that's not Bailly's style. He's a bit of a maverick, someone who never holds back and does pretty much what he wants.

So what did he do just 20 minutes into his comeback? He attempted an overhead kick, of course...

He nearly scored from it as well but his effort hit a Newcastle defender and went out for a corner.

Never change, Eric.

The 25-year-old joined United in 2016 and has only made 50 appearances in four seasons.

That is largely down to him being injured for much of his stint at the club. When he's attempting bicycle kicks 20 minutes into his return from a serious injury, it's no wonder why he's injured so often.

United fans will be pleased to know that Bailly did manage 61 minutes before being replaced.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah also made his return from injury during the game and played 58 minutes.

Barring any setbacks, Solskjaer will be able to welcome back both players to the first team in the coming weeks.
