Crystal Palace fan taunts Arsenal fan DT by hanging his stolen hat from the stands

When a Crystal Palace fan stole AFTV star DT’s hat from him after his side’s game against Arsenal back in October, it was wondered whether it would ever be seen again.

And it was - in truly spectacular fashion.

DT’s hat was seen hanging from the Holmesdale Road Stand during Palace’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal on Saturday.

DT is a regular on AFTV, formerly known as AFTV, and footage of a fan nabbing his hat as he spoke on the show emerged back in October.

Whoever stole that hat was clearly waiting until the return meeting to show it, and it was seen hanging in plain view from the stand at Selhurst Park.

That’s pretty funny.

Unless you’re DT, of course, who had to sit and watch helplessly as his hat hung in the air.

He later reacted on Instagram, though, claiming that it wasn't actually his hat.

“Imagine spending £29.99 to buy one of my hats from my website and then going to a game and claiming you stole it off me for likes,” he wrote.

Palace and Arsenal shared the points on Saturday, the second time this season that they have drawn with each other.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Mikel Arteta’s side an early lead following neat link-up play with strike partner Alexandre Lacazette.

But the hosts levelled through Jordan Ayew’s deflected shot in the 54th minute.

Aubameyang was then sent off for a nasty challenge on Palace’s Max Meyer.

Despite being down to 10 men, Arsenal pushed for a winner but left Selhurst Park with a point.

“We switched off for the goal,” Arteta said at full-time, per Arsenal’s website. “We completely switched off and allowed them to put the cross in.

“We turned and conceded the deflection, and I was very disappointed with that.

“After that, I must say that we reacted really well again after conceding the goal.

After Auba's red card, we reacted even better in my opinion.

Next up for Arsenal is a home game against Sheffield United, while Palace travel to Manchester City.
