WWE News: Paige and CM Punk comment on their possible WWE returns at Royal Rumble

Paige and CM Punk have commented on their wrestling futures amidst reports that they could be returning to the WWE ring at the Royal Rumble later this month.

With the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches being just around the corner on January 26, plenty of former WWE superstars are being rumoured to return to the company in that match.

Two superstars that have been heavily linked with returns in the Rumble matches are Paige for the women's and CM Punk for the men's.

Ever since she signed a new five-year deal with WWE and was split away from The Kabuki Warriors, many fans have been wondering if Paige could have one final match inside the squared circle.

Fans have been wondering the same for Punk since he joined Fox's WWE Backstage show back in November last year as an analyst, but both superstars have seemingly ruled the possibility of a return out.

In response to the Royal Rumble rumours, Paige jokingly said on Twitter: "I am coming back to the #royalrumble you guys. I’m entering myself into the men’s and being number 2 and taking that bish to suplex city then go on to win the whole thing.. 😂"

Punk responded to Paige's tweet with the 'Spiderman seeing Spiderman' meme, implying that he was doing the same thing.

If you thought Paige and Punk would be returning to a WWE ring at the Royal Rumble, don't get your hopes up.

Triple H recently commented on a possible in-ring return of Paige, as well as former WWE Champion Edge.

He said he would love to see both of them make a return to WWE, so long as it was the right decision for them physically and mentally.

Despite the sarcasm by both Paige and Punk on Twitter, WWE fans will still be keeping their eyes out for both superstars at the Royal Rumble show at the end of the month.
