The 2020 Women's Super League kicks off on Sunday, March 29 when reigning champions Leeds Rhinos will take on Bradford Bulls at home.

With fixtures released today, the Leeds/Bradford match comes as the first of five games to be played on the opening day of a newly expanded 10-team league season. Newcomers, Huddersfield Giants will play away against York City Knights, whilst the second side to be promoted from the Championship, Warrington Wolves, will host the Wigan Warriors.

Castleford Tigers, who sat at the top of the table last season but were beaten by Leeds in the Challenge Cup decider and Grand Final, will face 2019 league runners-up, St Helens, away.

Under a new format, all teams will play each other once before the league divides after nine rounds in mid-July, with the top four battling it out in the play-offs. Teams will have two fixtures, one at home and one away, and the final two will improve onto the Grand Final.

It has been announced that the Emerald Headingley Stadium - home of champions Leeds Rhinos - will host this year's Women's Super League Grand Final on Sunday, October 11. This falls just one day after the men's showpiece at Old Trafford.

The Women's Super League Shield will host the bottom, six teams, after the initial nine rounds as they play each other once before semi-finals and the final at Headingley. Points from before the split will be carried across into both the play-offs and the shield.
