For the first time since their epic heavyweight encounter in December 2018, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury came face-to-face last night for the first press conference ahead of their rematch.

Taking to the stage in Las Vegas to build up the fight, which, let's be honest, doesn't need much building, both heavyweights were in a vocal mood, none more so than when they were staring into each other's eyes during the face-off before and after the actual conference.

After being introduced to the journalists and the fans, both Wilder and Fury took to centre stage to have their first face-off, and both of them had plenty to say to one another.

Although the audio wasn't very clear during the live press conference, a video posted on Top Rank's YouTube channel has made it very easy to hear what exactly was said between the two boxers.

Below is a transcript of what was said BEFORE the press conference got underway.

Wilder: "You ever been to a baptism?"

Fury: "No but I'll turn up for one when I baptise you, sucker."

Wilder: "I said I'm going to baptise that ass."

Fury: "I'm still waiting to be baptised."

Wilder: "I did that."

Fury: "At least you're starting to listen to me now. You're getting a bit of class with your suit on. Copying me with a suit are you? I'm giving you a bit of dress sense you sucker."

Fury: "And you've even got a nice nose piercing you little b****."

Wilder: "How are you going to knock me out?"

Fury: "Two rounds and out. I'm going to hit you on the point of the chin then the legs are going to go."

Normalities then resumed as the two boxers fielded questions from the audience, as well as continued the trash talk among themselves.

Then, another face-off was required, and yet more trash talk was shared between the two, although this time, it was the Gypsy King who was leading the way.

Here is a transcript of what was said AFTER the presser.

Fury: "I'm terrified, I'm not nervous. I'm absolutely s******g myself."

Wilder: "It's okay to be nervous."

Fury: "I am nervous. I'm scared to death, you're so scary. Look at me I'm quaking."

Fury then ended the face-off by simply saying 'good luck' to his American opponent.

So as you can see, Wilder went very vocal for the first face-off before the press conference, but afterwards, he let Fury do all the talking.

Watching these two is simply fascinating, and no doubt it will continue to grip boxing fans around the world as we get closer and closer to fight night.
