Tyson Fury thinks Conor McGregor will beat Donald Cerrone by knockout at UFC 246

Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury - Press Conference

January 18th is the day that Conor McGregor returns to the Octogan following his devastating defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

His opponent is Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone and Tyson Fury predicts that McGregor will seal victory with a knockout.

It's been some time since we've seen McGregor in the UFC, however, heavyweight boxer Fury remains confident in the former champion.

"Yes, Conor McGregor is gonna win," Fury shared.

"I say by knockout. And I'm gonna be there to see it happen [at] ringside, cageside rather."

Fury spoke about the Irish fighter during his widely-anticipated press conference with Deontay Wilder.

Furthermore, rather unsurprisingly, McGregor has also revealed his confidence ahead of the fight and claimed that this performance will be dedicated to his supporters.

"I'm going to go in there and do what I want and put on a show for the fans," McGregor told Ariel Helwani.

"Long may the opponents continue to come and I'll continue to knock them down."

Nevertheless, despite his prediction, Fury has his own fight to worry about as he's set to take on Wilder in the latter weeks of February.

The press conference for this fight took place last night and the pair were in top form, with insults flying back and forth.

The previous fight saw a controversial decision which, arguably, saw Fury being robbed of a heavyweight title.

However, Wilder portrayed his confidence in front of reporters and claimed 'two rounds' is all he needs to silence the Gyspy King.

Despite the volume of threat and insults hurled in the direction of Fury, Wilder claimed he wanted to 'frighten' the 31-year-old. Nevertheless, Fury replied in a way only synonymous with his character, saying:

"I'm absolutely sh**ting myself. I'm frightened. I was so frightened last time," in his sarcastic manner.

Nevertheless, one thing is for sure. The fans are treated to two spectacles from outlandish fighters, with McGregor fighting this month and Fury fighting in Las Vegas on 22nd February.
