Netflix have officially released their chilling three-part documentary about Aaron Hernandez.

The former NFL star was arrested on suspicion of murdering semi-professional player Odin Lloyd back in 2013.

Lloyd's body was found a mile away from Hernandez's home and in 2015, the former New England Patriots man was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Two years after his sentence on on April 25, 2017, Hernandez tragically took his own life in his prison cell at the age of just 27.

His death came just two days after his acquittal for the 2012 double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, a separate double-murder case for which Hernandez was also tried.

The Netflix documentary will seek to explore all theories as to why Hernandez killed Lloyd and proceeded to try and cover up his death.

You can watch the trailer for the documentary entitled 'Killer Inside: The mind of Aaron Hernandez' below.
