Triple H loved to make jokes and talk trash when he was an in-ring competitor, but it seems like he slipped into his old ways when talking to the British media this past weekend. When asked about the possibilities of retired WWE stars Edge and Paige returning to the ring in the near future, The Game appeared to make a tasteless joke regarding Paige's past.He stated that Edge has kids so will probably prioritise being a father over returning to wrestling, whilst saying that Paige 'probably has kids that she doesn't know of'.Not only did it not make much sense, but it was seen as mocking Paige's sexual history, having been at the centre of a leaked sex tape scandal in 2017.The Brit took to Twitter a couple of days ago and said that she wasn't surprised that her 'boss' was making fun of her when a lot of people still do, regarding the leaks of nearly three years ago now.

And Paige's boyfriend, hardcore band singer Ronnie Radke, even went as far as saying that Paige had been crying over the remark, in a now-deleted tweet.

SportsKeeda's Gary Cassidy asked Paige for her thoughts on the whole ordeal during a press run in the UK earlier today, where she admits to being 'perplexed' over it all.

"Obviously I was a little bit perplexed, a little bit taken aback, because he's someone that I truly look up to and he's always been very respectful, so I feel like he got caught up, maybe, in a joke, that I just don't think was appropriate to joke about," said Paige.

"I feel like it's something that I don't need to continually keep talking about because I feel like people have done a pretty good job of that."

Paige confirmed that HHH had reached out to her and added that they had some things they need to talk about, but since then he has issued a public apology on Twitter.

It's clear that he didn't mean any offence, but considering the uproar over the comments this may hang over his head for a while regardless of the apology.

Hopefully all parties can move on successfully from the situation once they've met face-to-face to discuss the situation, and that it doesn't have to be spoken about in the public domain again!
