Conor McGregor faced off with Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone last night ahead of their UFC 246 fight.But we saw a very different McGregor.There was no war of words. In fact, Notorious even started complimenting his opponent."That's one hell of a coat Donald, I've got to give credit where credit is due! I don't know whether you've outdone me here, I've got lining on the inside of my baby here but that's a damn good coat brother. Is it crocodile?" McGregor said.It’s a whole world away from the very toxic build-up ahead of his last battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Now, there seems to be a respect.

"There will be blood spilled on Saturday, but it won't be bad blood," added the former two-weight champion.

But the biggest example of McGregor’s changed attitude came when he faced off with Cowboy.

He shook hands with the American, faced off without saying a word before shaking his hand once again.

Suddenly, Khabib Nurmagomedov was trending on Twitter.

Why?

Because everyone was saying that he has finally ‘humbled’ McGregor.

Before their fight, the Dagestan native vowed to change the Irishman’s mind.

"(I want to) Make him humble, a little bit teach him, and not only smash but change his face. I want to change his face. Of course, with face I can change his mind, too," Khabib said.

And after submission in round four, maybe it completely changed McGregor’s mindset.

That’s certainly what many fans think anyway:

McGregor was repeatedly asked at the press conference about this change but he insists he’s still the same person.

"I'm still the same young kid I always was, I'm still an aspiring man and reaching for the stars, doing things that haven't been done before," he said.

"I feel like I've turned over a new leaf. I am re-energised and refreshed. Sometimes we need to go to certain places in our life to realise what he have to do.

"I'm very grateful and honoured to be fighting back on US soil, I've had many great moments here. I'm a fighter and an entertainer and to come here and give these people what they want gets me up in the morning."
