Inter Milan have agreed a deal to sign Ashley Young from Manchester United.

Sky Sports report that the transfer will cost £1.3 million and will be completed once the full-back passes a medical.

It also includes an add-on fee, which will only be activated if Inter win Serie A this season.

The move comes after 34-year-old Young told United of his desire to leave, having not been involved in any of the club's last three matches.

He leaves Old Trafford after eight-and-a-half years.

During that time at Man United, Young made a total of 261 first-team appearances, scoring 19 times.

He also played for Watford and Aston Villa during his time in England. After making his Premier League debut in 2006, the defender went on to keep a total of 77 clean sheets in the top flight.

Young was also a regular for England at the peak of his career, turning out 39 times for his country and scoring seven goals.

He played an important part in two major tournaments - Euro 2012 and the 2018 World Cup.

Now 34, there are question marks over how much time he has at the top level.

But Inter are willing to take a chance and will hope Young can help them to Serie A glory.

The Nerazzurri are currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Juventus at the half-way stage.

It's expected that Antonio Conte's side will push Juve the distance and to do so, they will need depth in their squad. Young will no doubt provide that and perhaps has the quality to do even more at San Siro.
