Manchester United may not be having a great season but they can at least hold onto the fact they’re the only Premier League side to stop Liverpool so far.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side held the European and world champions to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in October and were only five minutes away from beating them.

It’s the only time Liverpool have failed to win in their 21 league games so far.

Therefore, the league leaders will be more desperate than usual to beat their arch-rivals this weekend at Anfield.

A win on Sunday would move Jurgen Klopp’s side a step closer to Premier League glory.

And the fans can’t wait.

So much so that they’re planning one of their infamous ‘coach greetings.’

A Liverpool Instagram account has put out a message calling all fans to meet at the King Harry Pub and line the streets.

The message says: "We are going for our first title in 30 years. Man Utd will want to stop us more than anyone else so we need to set the tone for the day and let them know we mean business.
We all know how much these bus welcomes help. Bring pints, pyros and flags and let's show our arch rivals what this means!"

In another post, they looked at Liverpool’s record when welcoming the coach.

They’ve beaten Borussia Dortmund, Villarreal, Manchester City, Roma, Chelsea, Barcelona, Wolves and Manchester City again when they’ve lined the streets before the match.

However, the fans took things too far back in April 2018 ahead of their Champions League clash with City. Bottles were thrown and the City bus was damaged, needing to be replaced for their journey home.

It certainly rattled Pep Guardiola and his side, who found themselves 3-0 down inside the first-half.

Liverpool fans will be hoping their welcome has a similar effect on this United side.
