For many WWE fans, the Royal Rumble is one of the best times of the year as it kicks off some epic feuds and storylines on the road to WrestleMania. 2020 should be no different.

There are already plenty of storylines for fans to salivate over including WWE Champion Brock Lesnar entering the Royal Rumble first, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch facing Asuka, and Universal Champion 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt vs Daniel Bryan.

Also at the Royal Rumble are the traditional men's and women's Royal Rumble matches, which will give us an idea of two possible matches at this year's WrestleMania 36 in Tampa Bay.

The Royal Rumble is also usually a place where WWE pulls some shocks in order to kick off the new year. 2020's Royal Rumble in Houston should have a few surprises of its own.

Here are five bold predictions for the 2020 Royal Rumble.

Drew McIntyre will eliminate Brock Lesnar and win the men's Royal Rumble

One of the biggest storylines heading into the Royal Rumble is Brock Lesnar entering the Rumble first and who could eliminate him. That man should be Drew McIntyre.

The Scottish Psychopath has received a push as of late on Raw, most recently beating AJ Styles and Randy Orton in a triple threat match. He's looking strong entering the Royal Rumble match.

In the Rumble, McIntyre should be the one that eliminates Lesnar from the match, before going on to win the match itself and challenge the WWE Champion for his title at WrestleMania 36.

The Undertaker will participate in the Royal Rumble match

With WrestleMania 36 only a couple of months away, it wouldn't be surprising if The Undertaker makes an appearance at the Royal Rumble to start the build towards another appearance at the show.

The Royal Rumble is taking place in Houston and The Deadman is from Texas, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him compete at the event since it's taking place in his home state. It would be a great treat for fans in attendance.

The Undertaker could have awesome staredowns with the likes of AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, and Aleister Black at the Royal Rumble before being eliminated from the match.

Each Royal Rumble's Final Three with have a member from each brand

WWE has been heavily pushing NXT over the past couple of months following its introduction on the USA Network, and there's no reason why that push shouldn't stop at the Royal Rumble.

The men's and women's Royal Rumble matches should have a heavy influence of NXT stars in order to continue this push. It's easy to see someone like Tommaso Ciampa or Keith Lee reaching the final three in the men's Rumble.

As for the women's Rumble, Shayna Baszler is actually a top favourite to win the entire thing, so she would also be a top candidate to be in the final three in that match.

Ronda Rousey will return and help Shayna Baszler win the women's Royal Rumble

Ronda Rousey is highly tipped to return to WWE soon, and one way which WWE could bring her back is by having her help her friend Shayna Baszler win the women's Royal Rumble match.

With a final three of Baszler, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks in the women's Royal Rumble, Rousey could make a surprise return to help her friend win the match by eliminating The Queen.

With Baszler likely challenging Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's title following her Rumble win, Rousey could go on to feud with Flair, giving the 10-time women's champion a meaningful feud for WrestleMania 36.

The Fiend will eliminate Roman Reigns from the men's Royal Rumble

Roman Reigns has barely sniffed a world title picture since returning to WWE from his battle with leukaemia, but that should change in 2020. One way WWE could accomplish this is by having 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt eliminate him from the Royal Rumble.

The Big Dog could be one of the final three in the men's Rumble, only for the lights to go out and The Fiend to appear in the middle of the ring. Wyatt could then throw Reigns over the top rope, eliminating him from the match, before disappearing.

This could lead to Reigns entering himself in a number one contender match for the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber in order to seek revenge on The Fiend for all the chaos he's been causing over the past couple of months on SmackDown.
