Sergio Aguero smashed two Premier League records when Manchester City obliterated Aston Villa last weekend.

The Argentine scored a hat-trick as Pep Guardiola's side cruised to a 6-1 win at Villa Park.

In doing so, he surpassed Thierry Henry (176) as the overseas player with the most Premier League goals on 178.

No sooner had he realised that achievement than he slotted home his third of the afternoon and overtook Alan Shearer's record of 11 top-flight hat-tricks.

It's reopened the conversation over whether City's all-time leading goalscorer is the Premier League's greatest ever, even if he's some way off Shearer's overall tally of 260 goals - having only arrived in England at the age of 22.

That is a debate that is unlikely to be settled anytime soon. Henry's legion of fans still revere him as an unmatched striker, overseas or otherwise, especially given his role in Arsenal's 'Invincible' season.

Regardless, Aguero deserves recognition and PUMA have found a way to do just that this weekend.

For the game against Crystal Palace this weekend, Aguero will wear special edition commemorative boots, as seen in The Sun.

A very fine pair of boots indeed and Palace will no doubt be quaking in their own.

"I'm so happy to break the record and thanks to my team-mates," he said after running riot at Villa.

"They helped me and I'm so happy.

"I want to keep on scoring more goals but it all depends on my team-mates. If they pass to me it's fine!"
