Bournemouth are in free-fall at the moment.

Prior to today's game against Norwich, they had not tasted a victory in the Premier League in five games.

It's a run that has seen them fall into the relegation zone.

They travelled to Norwich on Saturday in a vitally important bottom of the table clash.

They were holding their own for 30 minutes until Steve Cook's moment of madness.

With Aaron Ramsdale out of his goal, Norwich looked almost certain to equalise.

But Cook, who was on the floor, sprang to his feet before producing a save David de Gea would be proud of.

Save of the season.

Incredibly, the decision went to VAR, where he was deemed guilty of handling the ball in the area.

He initially saved a goal, but unfortunately for him he was given a red card and Norwich were issued a penalty.

And his sacrifice wasn't even worth it anyway when Teemu Pukki dispatched the resulting penalty.

The Dorset club went into the break 1-0 down and needing a miracle if they were going to take anything away from the game.

And, despite Ben Godfrey also receiving his marching orders in the second half, Bournemouth were unable to find an equalised and succumbed to another defeat.

The Cherries remain in 19th and are now three points away from safety.
